Professor Matthew Beaumont is Professor of English Literature at University College London. He is the author of Nightwalking: A Nocturnal History of London from Chaucer to Dickens (Verso, 2015), and co-editor of Restless Cities (Verso, 2010).
Professor Beaumont is also Director of the ‘Cities Imaginaries’ strand of UCL’s Urban Laboratory.
